Cincinnati Stopped, 6-4, by Stockton
|
The Stockton Ragin Cajuns beat the Cincinnati Bombardiers, 6-4, at Ballpark of Stockton. Ty Latham, in particular, was impressive. He went 4-4 with a home run and 3 singles. Stockton starter Casey Levy was credited with the win after throwing 91 pitches over 5 innings. His record now stands at 8-9. The Ragin Cajuns improved their record to 58-54 with the win over Cincinnati.
The Ragin Cajuns got a big at-bat from shortstop Joe Moreno. For the game, Moreno was 1 for 4 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the fifth, with a runner on 3rd, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 37th home run of the season gave Stockton a 5-4 lead.
"It doesn't matter if you're 10 games over .500 or 10 games under, it feels good to win," Latham told the Stockton Observer.
