Ragin Cajuns Come Back Late to Clip Boll Weevils
|
Fans watched the Stockton Ragin Cajuns and the Miami Boll Weevils fight to the finish.
Starting pitcher Danny Pena gave the Stockton Ragin Cajuns a rock-solid performance, helping his team defeat the Miami Boll Weevils, 3-2, at Ballpark of Miami. The victory gives the Ragin Cajuns a record of 56-53.
A defensive lapse proved costly in the contest. In the top of the eighth, with the game tied, Adam Barker was at the plate when Stockton scored 1 on an error. The miscue enabled the Ragin Cajuns to go in front, 3-2.
"We put some tough at-bats on some tough pitches," said Stockton manager Jeffrey Troke.
