Hamilton and Cornwall got after it at King George Park.
The Hamilton Bulldogs knocked off the Cornwall Royals, 4-1, in Western AA action at King George Park. Hamilton pitcher and Barquisimeto, Venezuela, native Bobby Carrero had an outstanding performance. Hamilton, at 55-52, occupies 5th place in the Western AA Central Division.
Todd Stevens drove in one run for Hamilton. The 21-year old right fielder had a key at-bat in the top of the fifth. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 0-0 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Dave Kramer. It was his 75th RBI of the season.
"This game will punch you right in the mouth," said Carrero. "My job is to show up and give my team a chance."
