In a low-scoring contest between the Vail Tigercats and the Stockton Ragin Cajuns, Jody Fouse, who is tied for 3rd in the W-AA with a 1.18 WHIP, proved to be the difference. The Vail left-hander earned props for his performance in the 3-2 Tigercats win. Fouse got the win, improving to 7-5. He gave up 7 hits and walked 0 over 5 innings. He allowed 2 runs. Danny Gonzales closed the door for Vail, picking up his 2nd save of the year.

Vail relied on the hitting of Corey Young to pick up the win. The shortstop ripped a run-scoring single in the top of the sixth inning to put the Tigercats on top, 3-2. For the game, Young had 1 triple and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

"Every loss hurts," said Stockton manager Jeffrey Troke. "But this was a tough one."
