The rain came, as predicted, but the White Deer Tropics and Columbus Bowsers were able to complete their ballgame.

Kyle Himes had an impact in the 16-5 White Deer win over Columbus. The 23-year old right fielder was 3 for 4 with a home run, a triple, and 2 walks, while scoring 4 runs and driving in 4. Nate Roberson earned the win. Scott Chrysler took the loss for Columbus.

White Deer designated hitter John Pavao contributed a timely at-bat in the top of the third. With two down, he hit a fastball to right field for a 3-run home run. It was his 8th home run of the season and put the Tropics ahead, 9-1.

"You know, at the end of the day, it's about who scores the most runs," said White Deer manager Brendan Rees.

The 4th-place Tropics have won 4 consecutive games.
