Aggies Take Down Bowsers, 4-1
|
Fans who congregated at Ballpark of Columbus were treated to extra-inning drama.
Columbus got a big-time effort from pitcher Ayres Palhao, but it wasn't enough to keep the Atlanta Aggies from winning the game, 4-1. Palhao threw 7.2 innings of 3-hit ball for the losing team. Mario Villalobos notched the win in relief. The right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2 innings. His record now sits at 3-3. Angelo Luque finished to wrap up his 3rd save.
Atlanta used the bat of Dillon O'Neill to capture the win. The pinch hitter jacked a 3-run home run in the top of the tenth inning to put the Aggies ahead, 4-1. It was his lone hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a dandy.
"Always feels extra good winning this kind of game," said O'Neill.
Atlanta has run its win streak to 4 in a row.
