Firecats Thrill Fans with 5-4 Win
Hialeah Firecats right-hander Dustin Richards pitched a good game against the Sonoma Scorpions at Firecats Ballpark, leading his team to victory, 5-4. Greg Gregor came out of the bullpen to earn the win. The left-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 2.1 innings. His record now stands at 2-4. Yes, it was a win for Hialeah; but their 31-65 mark is nothing to crow about.

Ricardo de Leon was the walk-off hero for Hialeah. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Firecats catcher hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"We couldn't have scripted it any better," Richards said in his postgame press conference.
