Hickory right-hander Dustin Patton helped his team edge Spokane by the score of 2-1. Patton kept the opposing lineup in check. Hickory pitcher Adam Ryan earned the win, hiking his record to 2-0. Tyler Doss suffered the loss. With the win, the Crawdads have a record of 35-25.

Hickory got a clutch hit from Pete Kincaid. The left fielder launched a 2-run home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a kill shot.

"Dustin was good -- real good," said Crawdads manager Ray Sanchez.
