The Westwood Bruins downed the New Rochelle Purple Wave, 4-3. The hitting star was center fielder Tony Thomas. Thomas went 6 for 8 with a home run, 2 triples, and 2 doubles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for the Bruins. The 4th-place Purple Wave dropped to 26-33.

Raheem Rogers came through with a big-time hit for Westwood. The first baseman smacked a solo home run in the top of the 17th inning to give his team the lead, 4-3. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

New Rochelle manager Brent Boudreau said he was "mildly disappointed" with the loss. "We had our opportunities, but we didn't take advantage of them," he said.
