The Quebec Fighting Quakers, despite a fine performance by Ann Arbor pitcher Mike Medley, grabbed a 1-0 win at Toros Ballpark. Medley allowed no runs over 5.2 innings. Quebec reliever Chris Johnson picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Jim Sylvester absorbed the loss. Scott Harvey recorded the save, his 2nd.

Jose Hernandez drew 2 walks in 4 plate appearances for Quebec. With two out and the game tied in the bottom of the seventh inning, Hernandez had a clutch at-bat. Facing Ann Arbor hurler Jim Sylvester, he drew a walk, driving in 1 run to give the Fighting Quakers a 1-0 lead.

Quebec manager Jeff Gray praised his team's "businesslike approach."
