The Spokane Selects picked up a win at Jackie Robinson Stadium, knocking off the Westwood Bruins, 7-6. Starting pitcher Rich Mack played a key role in the triumph. The triumph puts Spokane at 32-23 for the season.

In the top of the seventh, Spokane left fielder Adam Cox had a run-producing at-bat. Facing Westwood hurler Matthew Gayheart, Cox grounded out, driving in 1 run. That made the score 7-2, Spokane. For the day, Cox was 1 for 3 with a walk.

"Main thing is I want the team to win," Mack told a reporter after the game. "Just have to go out there, take care of my job, and give my team a chance to win."
