Cincinnati Tacks 4-0 Loss on Augusta
|
Eddie Sarabia never let Augusta get something going. The Cincinnati right-hander commanded his cutter in pitching the Bombardiers to a 4-0 win. Sarabia, the winner, moves to 1-5. He threw 7 innings of 4-hit ball, while fanning 3 and giving up 1 walk. The Bombardiers go to 21-35 with the win.
Cincinnati used the clutch hitting of Ashton McSparin to snag the win. The shortstop drilled a 3-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Bombardiers ahead, 4-0. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a crucial one.
Cincinnati manager Carlos Almendarez called it "a pretty good win."
