The Hialeah Firecats had to reckon with Cornwall Royals hurler Troy Conner. Conner, who is tied for 7th in the W-AA in innings pitched with 67.2, overwhelmed the opposition in the 6-1 Royals triumph. The misery continues for the Firecats, who have now dropped 21 in a row.
It could have been a different outcome for Cornwall, had it not been for Mike Raia, the 23-year old left fielder . Raia contributed a run-scoring walk in the top of the fifth inning to put Cornwall up, 2-0.
"Same old, same old, unfortunately," said losing manager John Costa.
