John Pavao was a vital contributor to the 11-1 White Deer victory over London. The Tropics left fielder was 3-4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Picking up the win was Steve Greene. He went 5.1 innings, allowing no runs on 3 hits. The right--hander struck out 6 and walked 3. Dustin Mitchell, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 2nd save.

Preston Hoffman had a big run-scoring double for the Tropics in the bottom of the fifth inning. With White Deer leading 1-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a curveball from 21-year old left-handed pitcher Juan Ramirez and swatted a double to right-center. It was his 9th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Tropics ahead, 2-0.

"I just tried to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Hoffman.

After today's action, White Deer sits at 26-30; London slips to 32-24.
