The Mexico City Aztecs managed to get by the Pueblo Heroes, 6-5, at Tony Gwynn Stadium. Mexico City pitcher Dustin Engstrom set himself apart with his performance. Mexico City reliever Ken Griffey picked up the win, while Brad Christiansen took the loss for Pueblo. Mexico City, at 39-15, is cruising.

Omar Snell was the walk-off hero for Mexico City. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Aztecs designated hitter hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

Snell told reporters after the game: "All's well that ends well."
