Sweepers Fall to .500 After 12-7 Loss to Werewolves
Matt Batdorf added some punch to the London offense, helping them outmuscle the Louisville Sweepers, 12-7. In the game, Batdorf, who is tied for 2nd in the S-A in RBI with 44, went 2 for 4 with a home run and a triple, while scoring 2 times and driving in 4. Miguel de Leon got the win, improving to 4-1. He held the Sweepers to 5 runs on 6 hits over 6 innings, while striking out 3 and walking 3. Louisville has now lost 4 consecutive games.

Batdorf contributed a big hit, a 2-run home run, for London in the top of the fourth. With his team trailing 2-1, Batdorf took a slider from Mario Santana and stroked the home run to left. His 10th home run of the season allowed the Werewolves to leap in front, 3-2.

"Winning is hard sometimes," said Werewolves manager Adrian Mercado. "This one was nice to get."
