The Mexico City Aztecs did just enough to secure a victory over the Bangor Lumberjacks, 4-3, in 10 innings at Ballpark of Bangor. Nobody did more than pitcher Adam Brittain. Ken Griffey picked up the win in relief. Steve Ray took the loss for Bangor. Russ McKenzie collected save number 3.

John Hearne came through with a big-time hit for Mexico City. The designated hitter smacked a solo home run in the top of the tenth inning to give his team the lead, 4-3. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

Hearne said his team "played with determination."

Mexico City goes to 38-15. The win puts them 2½ games up in their division.
