Scorpions Defeat Firecats, 3-2
|
The Sonoma Scorpions found a way to sneak past the Hialeah Firecats, 3-2, in 16 innings. Sonoma pitcher Ken Springer, for one, had a standout performance. Sonoma has run its win streak to 8 consecutive.
Dave Poth, who is tied for 6th in the W-AA in RBI with 28, had a direct impact on the outcome. Poth contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the 16th inning to put Sonoma up, 3-2.
"I just tried to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Poth.
