Ballpark of North Richland Hills was the site of a tense game between the Cornwall Royals and Sonoma Scorpions.

The Sonoma Scorpions went home winners at Ballpark of North Richland Hills, thanks in large part to starter Steve Oswald. Oswald stifled the Cornwall Royals, enabling Sonoma to grab the 2-1 win. With the win, the Scorpions have a record of 23-25.

In the bottom of the ninth, with two out and the game tied, 1-1, 26-year old third baseman Keith DiPiazza won it for Sonoma. With runners on 1st and 2nd, DiPiazza hit a 1-2 cutter from John Mills for a run-scoring single, giving his team the 2-1 win.

"I was a little disappointed," said Cornwall manager Jon Williams. "We could've and should've scored more runs."
