Streaking Scorpions Win Another One, 4-2
|
A good performance from third baseman Humberto Castano helped the Sonoma Scorpions defeat the Cornwall Royals, 4-2. Castano was 1 for 2 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 4 runs and scored once for the Scorpions. Kevin McDonald was called on to finish, recording his 7th save. The first-place Scorpions have won 6 straight games.
Castano had a timely hit for Sonoma in the bottom of the seventh. With Sonoma trailing 2-0, he turned a 1-1 fastball into a grand slam home run. It was his 4th home run of the season, making it 4-2, Sonoma.
"It was a good effort all around," said Castano.
