The Stockton Ragin Cajuns got a sterling performance from pitcher Danny Pena, but the Miami Boll Weevils still prevailed, 3-2. Pena threw 7.0 innings of 2-hit ball. Jerrod Notaro closed the game out for Miami, earning his 7th save. The losing streak for Stockton has now reached 5 games.

Donovan Widmer, who is tied for 4th in the W-AA in bases on balls with 25, had a direct impact on the outcome. Widmer contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the fifth inning to put Miami up, 3-2.

"We believe in ourselves and we're willing to work hard. It's a good combination," Widmer told the Miami Citizen.
