Lumberjacks Pull Out Late-Game Win, 3-2
|
Mexico City got a big-time effort from pitcher R.J. Eisen, but it wasn't enough to keep the Bangor Lumberjacks from winning the game, 3-2. Eisen threw 7.1 innings of 5-hit ball for the losing team. Steve Ray recorded his 19th save for Bangor. With the win, the Lumberjacks improved to 27-24.
Bangor took the lead, 3-2, on Antonio Encinas's 9th home run of the season. The 2-run home run came off Mexico City pitcher Marvin Bobbitt in the bottom of the eighth.
"We put some tough at-bats on some tough pitches," said Bangor manager Shawn Banks.
