Parker hits 2 home runs in Pueblo Win
Riding the 3-hit performance of the 24-year old catcher Bobby Parker, the Pueblo Heroes stopped the Kalamazoo Comets, 5-2. The winning pitcher was John Wilgus. His record now stands at 2-2. The left-hander went 5.1 innings, allowing 1 run on 5 hits for the Heroes. The 5th-place Heroes lifted their record to 23-30.

The Heroes got a big at-bat from designated hitter Jason Woody. For the game, Woody went 1 for 4 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the third, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 6th home run of the season gave Pueblo a 3-1 lead.
