Big Day for Nicholson: Swats 5 Hits
Nick Nicholson was on fire against the Buchanan High School Bears but it was all in vain as Nicholson's Matadors fell, 9-4. For the game, the third baseman went 5-for-5 against Buchanan High School in a fine hitting display.

"I got the pitches I was looking for and I connected," he said. "Some days you hit shots and they're right at somebody and some days they fall in."

Nick Nicholson hit an RBI double in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off Keith Walton in the 8th and singled in the 9th.

Nicholson has collected 22 hits for the Matadors this year, 3 of them home runs. He has also netted 8 RBIs and scored 14 runs while batting .431.
