Bowsers Absorb 5-3 Loss at Ballpark of Bangor
|
With John Jimenez leading the charge, the Bangor Lumberjacks defeated the Columbus Bowsers, 5-3. Jimenez hit 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice for the Lumberjacks. The win boosted Bangor to 22-22.
With Bangor leading 3-1 in the bottom of the second, Jimenez hit a curveball from Carlos del Valle for a 2-run home run. It was his 11th home run of the season and put the Lumberjacks ahead, 5-1.
"We were the better team today. Maybe that won't be the case next game, but we'll enjoy it for now," Jimenez told the Bangor Times.
