Columbus Bowsers starter Carlos del Valle was locked-in. He led his team to a win over the Bangor Lumberjacks, 6-0. The winning pitcher was del Valle, now 4-1. He tossed 6.1 innings of 4-hit ball, while walking 1 and fanning 4. The Bowsers bumped their record to 23-18 with this latest triumph.

It could have been a different outcome for Columbus, had it not been for Jesse Rupp, the 22-year old center fielder . Rupp contributed a 2-run single in the top of the seventh inning to put Columbus up, 4-0.

Rupp said his team "played with a purpose."
