Columbus Bowsers starter David Procaccini found his groove in his team's 2-1 win over the Bangor Lumberjacks. Procaccini picked up the win for Columbus, going 7.2 innings. He gave up 1 run on 5 hits. He now sports a record of 5-2. Allen Ellingson recorded the save, his 5th.

Columbus used the timely hitting of Nick Creswell to seize the win. The designated hitter stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Bowsers on top, 2-0. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"We came out on the wrong end of this one," said Bangor skipper Shawn Banks.

The win gives Columbus a season record of 22-18.
