Right-hander Will Clark mesmerized the Columbus Bowsers while leading the Bangor Lumberjacks to a 5-0 victory. Clark, the winner, moves to 4-4. He threw 5.2 innings of 3-hit ball, while fanning 5 and giving up 3 walks. Bangor now sits at 15-24, while Columbus falls to 21-18.

The Bowsers had been locked in a 0-0 tie with the Lumberjacks going into the bottom of the fifth inning. That changed quickly when the 23-year old catcher Raul Tavarez came to the plate. Tavarez hit a bases-clearing double on a first pitch slider from Columbus hurler Jesus Garcia. It was Tavarez's 1st double of the year.

"It takes a lot of things to win a ballgame," said Bangor manager Shawn Banks. "It's usually not just one thing."
