In a low-scoring contest, Dollywood pitcher Gilberto Cortez was marvelous, enabling his team to nab a 3-0 win. Gregg Daugherty sewed up the save, his 6th. Dollywood, having won 14 in a row, is now 31-6.

Cortez, who dominated for Dollywood, earned the victory to move to 6-1. He was in control the whole game, scattering 5 hits over 8 innings, while striking out 3. Bangor batters could never bunch up enough hits to produce a rally.

"We're developing a swagger," said Cortez.
