The Mexico City Aztecs picked up a win at Werewolves Ballpark, downing the London Werewolves, 5-2. On the mound for Mexico City was right-hander Miguel Rodriguez, who played a pivotal role in the win. With the win, Mexico City upped its record to 24-7.

Mexico City third baseman Doug Wagner produced at a critical juncture. It happened in the top of the eighth with Billy Kaufman on the mound and Mexico City leading 3-2. Wagner hit a sacrifice fly.

"When Miguel is on, he can really move the ball around," said Mexico City manager Dan Martinez.
