The Mexico City Aztecs and Columbus Bowsers put on a pitchers' duel.

Mexico City used a superb performance from starting pitcher Jesse Aggas to down the Columbus Bowsers, 2-0. Earning his 5th save for Mexico City was Hunter Saakadze.

Mexico City took control in the bottom of the sixth. With one out and runners on 2nd and 3rd, Tony Thomas hit a run-scoring single to make it 1-0, Aztecs.

"I tell our guys all the time, 'Every pitch is the right pitch if you put it in the right place, you believe in it and have conviction,'" Mexico City manager Tony Velez said.

The third-place Aztecs hiked their record to 13-17.
