The Barrie Admirals beat the Dollywood Partons, 9-6, at Stadia de Leones. The win was due in part to first baseman Justin Allery, who went 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 3. Danny Cortez got the win, improving to 2-3. He worked 5.1 innings, giving up 3 runs on 9 hits, while striking out 4 and walking 0. Rafael Baray was credited with the save for Barrie, his 3rd of the season.

Caspar Hooks had a big 2-run double for the Admirals in the bottom of the third inning. With Barrie trailing 3-2 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a fastball from 22-year old left-handed pitcher Chris Welch and swatted a double to left-center. It was his 1st double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Admirals ahead, 4-3.

"It felt good to put the barrel on the ball," said Allery.

With the win, the Admirals improved to 15-15.
