The Columbus Bowsers earned a close win over the Long Beach Keys, thanks in part to Carlos del Valle. The Columbus left-hander played a key role in the 3-2 victory. Columbus reliever Joe Knoop picked up the win, raising his record to 1-0. Arhippa Hynninen was tagged with the loss. Josh Adams locked down his 8th save.

Columbus used the timely hitting of Roger Fana to seize the win. The third baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Bowsers on top, 3-2. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"Carlos kind of went out and dug down and got some outs when he needed to," said Columbus manager Joe Mills.

Now 4-21, the 2025 Keys have been wretched so far.
