The Kalamazoo Comets had to overcome a fine effort from Mexico City pitcher Dustin Engstrom to win, 3-2, at Tony Gwynn Stadium. Engstrom went 6.1 innings and allowed 2 runs. Kevin Martinez picked up the save, his 4th. The loss drops Mexico City to 19-5.

Kalamazoo used the timely hitting of Luis Andujar to seize the win. The catcher stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Comets on top, 3-2. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"It's the best feeling when you come through for your teammates," said Andujar.
