Oliver Murga brought his A-game to help Columbus defeat the Kalamazoo Comets, 4-1. Murga got the win, improving to 2-1. He gave up 4 hits and walked 2 over 6 innings. He allowed 1 run. Josh Adams got the save, the 7th for him this season.

The Bowsers got a big at-bat from shortstop Jorge Figueroa, who in the bottom of the fourth hit a solo home run. It was his 2nd home run of the season and put the Bowsers on top, 3-1.

"At the end of the day, it's always about your starting pitcher," said Columbus skipper Joe Mills.

With the win, Columbus boosts its record to 13-9.
