Getting offensive support from Dean Hostetler, the Mexico City Aztecs topped the Columbus Bowsers, 9-2. Hostetler hit 2 home runs. He scored 3 times and drove in 6 for the Aztecs. Mexico City pitcher Miguel Rodriguez got the win, upping his record to 2-1. Chris Gilmore got the loss. The loss lowers the Columbus record to 7-11.

Early in the game, Hostetler had a 3-run home run for Mexico City. It was his 8th home run of the season and put the Aztecs on top, 3-0.

"It was a tough day, no getting around it," said losing manager Joe Mills.
