Beat Goes On for Partons, Win 2-1 Over Sweepers

The skies opened up and the rain fell at Dolly Parton Ballpark.
Lance Parrent powered the Dollywood Partons to a win over the Nashua Sweepers. The final score was 2-1. The Dollywood first baseman, who is tied for 7th in the S-A in home runs with 4, was a force to be reckoned with. He banged out 3 extra-base hits, including 1 home run and 2 doubles. Dollywood, at 14-2, is off to a blistering start.
Parrent had a big at-bat with the bases empty in the bottom of the fourth inning, when he hit a solo home run. The Partons went on to win.
"I thought we played some darn good baseball," said Partons manager Adam Freeman.
