Parrent, Partons Beat Sweepers, 8-1

Lance Parrent impressed in the 8-1 Dollywood win over Nashua. Parrent, who is tied for 10th in the S-A in home runs with 3, went 3-4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. Reliever Frank Yanez picked up the win. His record improves to 4-0. Mike Overstreet took the loss. The Partons, now 13-2, have played inspired baseball.
Kevin Johnson broke a 1-1 tie in the bottom of the third with a run-scoring sacrifice fly. It put the Partons in front, 2-1. For the game, Johnson drove in one run.
"I think we did a good job of looking for pitches we wanted to hit and put good swings on them," said Dollywood skipper Adam Freeman.
