The Kalamazoo Comets could not turn a fine performance from pitcher Alex Gonzales into a win. Instead, the Dollywood Partons prevailed, 7-2. Gonzales threw 5.1 innings of 2-hit ball. Earning his 2nd save for Dollywood was Sean Hill. The Partons, now 10-3, have been sizzling early on.

Dollywood grabbed control in the bottom of the seventh. With one out and the bases loaded, Franklin Cortes delivered a 2-run single, to make it 4-2, in favor of the Partons.

Cortes attributed the win to his team's "focus and intensity."
