The rain made it unbearable at times; nonetheless, the faithful who endured the elements enjoyed themselves.

The Barrie Admirals got a superb performance from pitcher Omar Lorenzo, but the Kalamazoo Comets still won the game, 4-2. Lorenzo threw 6.1 innings of 3-hit ball. Kevin Kerns picked up the win in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Marco Garcia suffered the loss. Kevin Martinez got the save, the 1st for him this season.

The game was at a stalemate until left fielder Dan Vicars came to bat in the bottom of the eighth. Facing Barrie pitcher Marco Garcia, he hit a 1-0 sinker for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Kalamazoo on top, 3-2.

After the game, Kalamazoo manager Morgan Van Dyke applauded the team's effort. "They busted their humps out there," he said.

With the loss, Barrie falls to 3-1.
