Huntsville 4-1 Losers to Jet Hawks
|
The Huntsville Rockets got a sterling performance from pitcher Paul Dolezal, but the Grand Rapids Jet Hawks still prevailed, 4-1. Dolezal threw 6.0 innings allowing 2 runs. Grand Rapids starter Chris Gagarian was credited with the win after throwing 84 pitches over 5.2 innings. His record now stands at 6-4. Earning the save was James Straughn. He's now cashed in 26 of 30 save opportunities.
Grand Rapids third baseman Leo Gracia contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the second. With two down, he hit a cutter to left field for a 2-run single. It was his 64th hit of the season and put the Jet Hawks ahead, 2-0.
"I like seeing our guys get a return on what they've put in," said Grand Rapids manager Sadayuki Nishikawa.
The winning streak has now reached 4 games for Grand Rapids.
