The Grand Rapids Jet Hawks defeated the Deltaville Deltas, 8-6, at Jet Hawks Ballpark. Leading the charge for Grand Rapids was right fielder Ben Porter. He went 2 for 4 with a home run. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. The Jet Hawks have an impressive 97-38 record.

Havana, Cuba-born Ernie Aceituno came through in the clutch. In the bottom of the eighth, with the bases loaded and the Jet Hawks trailing 6-5, he hit a 2-run single to right-center to put Grand Rapids on top.

"We're not exactly playing great right now," said Edgar Hernandez, the Deltaville manager.
