The Santa Rosa Desperados picked up a win at Keelhaulers Ballpark, taking down the San Antonio Stallions, 4-2. Starting pitcher Troy Conner was a big reason why. Mike Rodriguez, credited with the save, is now 1 for 3 in save opportunities. The loss makes San Antonio 55-77.
Leo Cortez, who is tied for 2nd in the N-A in stolen bases with 23, contributed to the Santa Rosa win with a 2-run home run in the bottom of the seventh. For the game, the right fielder had 2 hits in 3 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 2 RBI.
"It was just a matter of executing," said Santa Rosa manager Carlos Acevedo.
