The Kansas City Dust Devils rode a solid performance from 21-year-old starting pitcher Justin Ashe to a win, beating the Deltaville Deltas, 1-0, at Kansas City Grounds. The save went to Darius Timmons, his 10th this season. The 4th-place Dust Devils sport a record of 54-77.

Had Bob Zerhusen not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and the bases loaded, Zerhusen hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 1-0, in favor of the Dust Devils.

"We just try to have good at-bats, whether we're winning, losing, or tied," said Zerhusen.
