Conrad Helps Glace Bay Cruise to 11-3 Win
Keelhaulers Ballpark was the site for Northern A action featuring the Santa Rosa Desperados and Glace Bay Miners.

Getting a good performance from first baseman Steve Conrad, the Glace Bay Miners defeated the Santa Rosa Desperados, 11-3. Conrad was 4 for 5 with a home run and 3 singles. He drove in 4 runs and scored once for the Miners. Bobby Jones was the winner. He's now 5-1. The loser was 22-year old left-handed pitcher Jon Kwait.

The Miners had to work out of trouble in the bottom of the sixth. The score was 4-0, Glace Bay, with no one out. Santa Rosa, with runners on 1st and 2nd, was mounting a threat. Trevor Cunningham dug in at the plate, but on a 3-1 fastball, he flied out.
