Santa Rosa and Tampa took Mother Nature's best shot and still managed to complete their ballgame.

A 3-RBI performance from catcher Jeff DeLong led the Santa Rosa Desperados to a win over the Tampa Capitals, 8-6. Santa Rosa reliever Dave Golash was credited with the win. His record goes to 3-0. Jason Teske took the loss for Tampa.

Adam Robertson went 1 for 4, while adding 2 RBI for Santa Rosa. The 22-year old left fielder had a key at-bat in the top of the eighth. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 6-6 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Jason Teske. It was his 33rd RBI of the season.

Robertson said afterward that the win gets the team one step closer to its goal.

The Desperados have an impressive 82-46 record.
