The Fremont Ambassadors faced a tough opponent in Huntsville pitcher Dan Herbert, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Ballpark of Fremont by a final score of 4-2. Herbert went 5.2 innings and allowed 1 run. Joe Ault picked up the win in relief. His record improves to 3-1. Jimmy Lyles suffered the loss. The Ambassadors, now 45-78, have won 4 in a row.

Fremont got a clutch hit from Francisco O'Brien. The right fielder socked a 3-run home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was game-ender.

"Being able to play a game for a living is one thing. Being able to play it well and contribute to a win is even better," O'Brien told the Fremont News.
