Dust Devils Get Clutch Win Versus Grand Rapids
The Kansas City Dust Devils beat the Grand Rapids Jet Hawks, 6-5, in part because of designated hitter Bob Zerhusen. He went 2 for 4 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Darius Timmons, now 7-0, was credited with the win in 1 innings of relief. He allowed no runs on no hits, while striking out 1 and walking 1. The Dust Devils go to 51-73, putting them 4th in the Northern A West Division.

The climactic moment came in the bottom of the tenth for Kansas City. That's when John Hunt, who was drafted in the 3rd round of the 2024 draft, hit a solo home run off Amari Allard to win the game. The home crowd erupted in celebration.

"It doesn't matter if you're 10 games over .500 or 10 games under, it feels good to win," Zerhusen told the Kansas City News.
