Late Rally by Desperados Locks Up 4-1 Win
|
The San Antonio Stallions got a sterling performance from pitcher Armando Rivera, but the Santa Rosa Desperados still prevailed, 4-1. Rivera threw 5.1 innings of 3-hit ball. Ruben Torres picked up his 13th save of the season. The Desperados have an impressive 71-44 record.
Dave Reisinger, who is tied for 6th in the N-A in stolen bases with 20, took San Antonio hurler Carlos Orosco deep in the bottom of the eighth. His 3-run home run put the Desperados on top, 4-1. In all, Reisinger had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 4.
"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Reisinger told the Santa Rosa Daily.
