Starting pitcher Eduardo Garcia took care of business, helping the Santa Rosa Desperados stifle the Grand Rapids Jet Hawks, 4-2. Santa Rosa has now won 5 in a row.
Jim Young, who is tied for 7th in the N-A in stolen bases with 10, took Grand Rapids hurler Matt Lavender deep in the bottom of the fourth. His 3-run home run put the Desperados on top, 4-2. In all, Young had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 4.
