Jet Hawks Pin 5-3 Loss on Tyler
|
The Grand Rapids Jet Hawks beat the Tyler Trolls, 5-3, at Jet Hawks Ballpark. Ben Porter, who is tied for 8th in the N-A in doubles with 13, starred for Grand Rapids. He was 2 for 4 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. The Jet Hawks improved their record to 35-21 with the win over Tyler.
Grand Rapids grabbed the momentum in the bottom of the fifth, when Porter hit a 3-run home run off Cameron Spruill. His 10th home run of the season put the Jet Hawks out in front, 4-1.
Porter called the win "a team effort."
